The Mission of the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League of the Palm Beaches is to provide shelter to lost, homeless and unwanted animals, to provide spay and neuter and other medical services for companion animals, and to care for, protect, and find quality homes for homeless and neglected companion animals, to advocate animal welfare, community involvement and education to further the bond between people and animals.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving Palm Beach County, and does not receive funding from city, state, or the federal government. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations to provide quality programs and services to the community. Your donations directly support programs and services to help animals in need here in Palm Beach County.

  • 45,234 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies benefited from our programs and services
  • 70,620 phone calls were answered by our Call Center
  • 16,167 spay and neuter surgeries
  • 9,176 cats were spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped at no cost to the community through grant funding.
  • 7,594 lost, injured and homeless cats and dogs received temporary shelter
  • 5,781 pets were placed in loving homes (highest adoption year in our 90 year history)
  • 1,809 cats and dogs were cared for by our Foster Program Volunteers
  • 333 lost animals were reunited with their families
  • 12,012 pets were fed through Peggy's Pantry Food Bank
  • 776 cats and dogs transferred in from Animal Care and Control and other local rescues
  • 406 active volunteers donated over 69,575 hours helping to enrich the lives of our shelter animals and to ensure that the League achieves our goals in serving animals and residents in our community.
